The virus is now a leading economic indicator.

Yes, undoubtedly more Americans going back to work is a great thing, no doubt about that. However that must be tempered with the reality that because several populous states did not deal diligently with the virus and infections are now at an all time high. That failure of leadership may just have deepened and broadened the economic hit as well, since the status of the virus has become a leading economic indicator of sorts, in terms of extremely negative effects to the overall economy.

We HAVE to get a handle on the virus before we can go whole hog on the economy. To do otherwise (again) is the definition of insanity.
